Head of SEO & Digital Strategy

Ian is the Director of Content Development and SEO at Local Image and works with you to help you communicate your company’s story, mission, and overall brand online while helping to improve your SEO.

Ian has called a wide range of locales home. Born in Los Angeles, he moved to South Carolina as a young child, then moved to Maine at the age of 12. He spent his childhood summers in Spain with his father’s family, getting immersed and exposed to the language and culture from a very early age. Ian also lived on and helped to run his mothers’ passion project in his teen years: an early, small scale organic farm.

Ian attended the University of Maine at Farmington, majoring in English and dual minoring in both Spanish and philosophy. Ian’s diverse interests and studies were fueled by his parents. His father is a court interpreter in Los Angeles and a Spanish-English translator and his mother is retired, but made her living as a writer and chef. Both parents have made much of their living with language and communication, and Ian followed this example with his schooling and professional life.

Following graduation from college, Ian made Pittsburgh his home for several years working as a security supervisor at the Pittsburgh International Airport. Once he moved back to Maine, he founded a pair of small businesses, including Wizardly Media, which specializes in developing video marketing strategies and providing start-to-finish video production services supporting the marketing teams of small to medium businesses and municipalities. Wizardly Media opened its doors just prior to the pandemic and has created video content for dozens of businesses in Maine and across the United States since.

Ian is an avid reader, self-professed Ravenclaw, and unabashed “research addict” all of which help fuel his many DIY projects and interests. He also enjoys cooking and is bilingual speaking Spanish in addition to English. Ian’s favorite animal is the unicorn. In addition to research, Ian likes to work with his hand and figure out how to do new things. As an example of this, when Ian proposed to his fiancé Kelsey, he hand-gilded a sword that read “Marry me.” Ian’s diverse interests and background, profound curiosity, and creative qualities serve him well in his role as Strategic Content Writer and help him to really understand your business and write about it authentically as a part of the Local Image team!
