Clara is the Business Development & Account Manager, working to make new connections and form new relationships within the Maine business community while ensuring that all clients’ marketing needs are heard and executed satisfactorily.
Clara grew up in South Portland, graduating from South Portland High School in 2014 and then heading west to Ohio Wesleyan University, where she graduated in 2018 with a degree in Marketing Management. During her four years at Ohio Wesleyan, Clara worked with the OWU Athletics Department to create a comprehensive marketing and rebranding strategy and was also fortunate to spend a semester in Athens, Greece studying Digital Promotion, Branding, and Marketing on a global scale.
Missing her home state (and the ocean and mountains!), Clara moved back to Maine in 2019 and began working at the former Fore River Brewing Company in South Portland. She first began her marketing career there as the social media manager and worked her way up through the company to become the Director of Marketing and Events in late 2021. Throughout her four years at the brewery, Clara successfully managed the digital and social brand, organized and executed company events, acted as the in-house photographer, created graphics, and worked with other team members to design and launch a company-wide rebrand.
Clara was introduced to Local Image after the closure of the brewery in early 2023, and upon meeting the team and learning more about the company, found Local Image to be a perfect fit! In her words, “Local Image and all of its amazing employees have created a truly unique, supportive, and enjoyable professional atmosphere. The work that we do here is such a team effort, and having a solid group of people beside you is essential in any profession, but especially in the world of marketing. I’m excited to grow with Local Image, and reconnect with the beautiful, local community that I was raised in, to help businesses of all sizes succeed and thrive!”
In her free time, you can find Clara at the beach, on the water, hitting the slopes, hanging out with friends, and spending time with her family and their two pups here in South Portland.
